Our Story

Hobbishack started where many great TCG stories do — on Twitch.

What began as a live breaks channel, ripping packs and hanging out with the community, quickly grew into something bigger. As demand grew and the community followed, Hobbishack expanded into an online store, then into a physical retail space on the Central Coast of NSW.

Today, Hobbishack has moved into a larger premises in Wyong, purpose-built to support what we care about most: Trading Card Games, organised play, and hobby communities.

Trading Card Games Are Our Core

TCGs are the heart of Hobbishack. From day one, our focus has been on Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh!, One Piece, Star Wars Unlimited, and other competitive and collectible card games.

We stock sealed product, accessories, and essentials with players and collectors in mind — not just shelves to fill. Whether you’re cracking packs, building decks, or chasing the next event win, this is what we do best.

From Online to In-Store — Built for Play

Our move to a larger Wyong location wasn’t about bigger shelves — it was about making space for play. The new store allows us to run organised play events for multiple TCGs, support casual and competitive scenes, host leagues, tournaments, prereleases, and community nights, and expand into tabletop and wargaming alongside TCGs.

We believe a good hobby store isn’t just somewhere you buy product — it’s somewhere you show up.

Expanding Into Tabletop & Wargames

While TCGs remain our main drawcard, Hobbishack has grown to include tabletop and miniature wargames as a natural extension of the hobby. That means thoughtfully selected ranges, proper hobby support (not half-measures), and space to play, learn, and build.

We expand slowly and intentionally, making sure every new range actually serves the community.

Community First, Always

Hobbishack exists because of its community — online and in-store. We aim to be welcoming to new players, reliable for regulars, and fair, transparent, and approachable.

Whether you found us through Twitch, the website, or by walking into the store in Wyong, you’re part of what we’re building here.

The Journey Continues

From live breaks → online store → Central Coast shop → Wyong community hub, Hobbishack is still evolving.

Thanks for being part of the journey — and we’ll see you at the table.
